We're innocent!!

Our search stopped working today as we think Google have blocked the search from working due to "invalid clicks" basically, Google thinks that people are clicking on the sponsored results of the searches invalidly in order to raise mor money for Yamoogles carbon offsetting although we don't know this for sure as they've not contacted us.

We beleive that this is entirely unfair and are petitioning Google to try and get them to reverse the decision which ultimately will result in thousands, maybe even millions being lost from our environmental cause.

Google have not responded to any of our correspondance with them and we're pretty upset about it down at Yamoogle as you can imagine!

You can help by joining the facebook campaign or however you can to get google to allow us to function again

We'll try to keep you updated ...

Status update

Well, three weeks old and Yamoogle is fast approaching 4,000 searches and has raised the funds needed to offset over 20 tonnes of carbon! These early figures show us that we're doing better than expected and should acheive higher than 18.1 tonnes per average user per year.

Thanks to you all for using the beta version and putting up with any bugs or slow loading pages, you have given us the realtime data we need to go out and wow some corporates into giving us some free PR or cash for advertising!

You've also managed to offset over 20 tonnes of carbon between you which should bring a smug smile to your faces as you watch your contemporaries using other search engines, getting exactly the same results and sending all that revenue to Google (As if they need it!)

A small request from the Yamoogle team now, please please tell as many people as you can to use yamoogle and download its toolbar. We've already proven that it works and it won't be long before we launch the full version but we need yamooglers like YOU! To go out and about pestering everyone you know to start using us. You can also blog about it as this guy has done or post it on your company website if you have the authority to do so. In fact, the Yamoogler who comes up with the most inventive method of getting people to Yamoogle will get their story and picture posted on the Yamoogle homepage when we launch the full version.

20 Tonnes down!!

Today Yamoogles users (you) reached a milestone in offsetting approximately 20 tonnes of CO2 so well done to you all.

We are currently researching and evaluating the most appropriate and effective form of offsetting and where to spend the money that we have raised, however, we won't be rushing into any decisions until we've thoroughly researched this area.

If any Yamooglers have useful information on the most efficient companies to go with then we'd love to hear from you.

Well done again to all of you!

Well done to Jamie who has made the Yamoogle search facility into a download for your toolbar which means you can now access Yamoogle search without even going to the homepage. We'll be putting it up on the site soon but in the meantime you can download it here by clicking this link
